The Local Store manager is responsible for the leadership and supervision of the Local store that he is appointed to. This function includes the planning, organising, directing, motivating and controlling the work of the store team in order to achieve the Pick n Pay Local Format’s objectives.
Minimum Requirements
Standard 10 (Grade 12)
5 years’ experience in store operations
Computer literacy
Valid driver’s license

Ensure that there is availability of stock at all times to meet demand and supply in the store
Ensure availability of Store KVI lines and enhance their promotions and sales
Innovating store specific turnover rescue plans to grow sales
Stock Management from delivery to shelf
Ensure that Receiving Management adherers to process
Manage and monitor the synergy between receiving and inventory management
Ensure that Food safety procedures are followed
Monitor and manage stock movement between departments
Manage daily recording of stock movement in liason with Merchandising department
Manage SLAs with external providers
Daily and weekly reporting
Daily store inspections
Manage Frontline Cash Management controls and process to curb revenue leakage
Communicate on productivity levels and come up with solutions
