Logistics Coordinator – Exports at PPG

CORE ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Planning and monitoring the daily delivery schedule for local and export shipments.
• Communicating with shipping lines and agents, and maintaining good relations with allparties involved
• Ensuring accurate and timely administration
• Having knowledge of South African and international customs clearance laws, procedures,and regulations.
• Complete costing files after the shipment has been executed.
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
• Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.
• Tracking shipments.
• Preparing bills and related documents.
• Ensure logistics remain in line with PPG Export Compliance rules.
• Professionally manage correspondence between PPG and external stakeholders.
• Interact with local and regional commercial teams.
• Provide support and backup for other internal functions.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• Hands-on and a self-starter with a strong work ethic, having good communication,
• interpersonal, planning and organisational skills.
• Handle stress and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Be emotionally mature, and a team player in a matrix environment.
• Experience on SAP B1 or similar required.
• Five years of proven experience in a similar role.
• Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
