• Mainframe Performance and Capacity Job Requirements
• Understanding of Z/OS Operating System Concepts
• Knowledgeable in the use of IBM Z/OS utilities
• Knowledgeable in the purpose and design of SMF records and utilities
• Knowledgeable in the purpose and advance use of RMF
• Knowledgeable in the purpose and advance use of WLM Work Load Manager
• Understanding of CICS, DB2, WAS and IMS concepts.
• Working knowledge of DB2 SQL 
• Workable knowledge of Tivoli Decision Support system (TDS)
• Workable knowledge in the use of office tools (Email, spreadsheets, Word processing)
• Participate in service component continuous improvement projects
• Maintain capacity projection information for use in report generation..
• Assist the Account Management team in communicating technical and performance information to the customer.
• Provide analysis of capacity related information to assist the customer with determining future capacity requirements
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly capacity analysis reports for monitored resources.
• Assist in the evaluation of proposed configurations to determine impact on capacity requirements
• Provide Ad-Hoc reporting with analysis to help resolve issues regarding performance problems
• Analyze the performance impact of configuration/technology changes.
• Investigate incidents and problems affecting capacity and provide input and findings to the Root Cause Analysis process.
• Participate in incident/change processes and meetings as needed
• Provide support for business controls audits
• Workable knowledge of the SAS Programming language.
• Workable knowledge of the SAS/MXG system.
• Thorough understanding of SYSPLEX Design.
• Basic understanding of DFHSM, SMS Storage management concepts.
• Basic understating of HMC function and ZOS Console Commands
• Workable knowledge of Batch Scheduling (OPC/CA7).
• Advanced JCL knowledge.
• Advance understanding of LPAR Grouping, Weight management and Soft/Hard Capping.
