Maintenance and Local Project Manager at Firmenich

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating & supporting a culture of problem solving to continuously improve safety, service, cost & quality through implementing Lean Six Sigma principles & tools
• Coaching leaders & teams on the process of continuous improvement and leading a culture of change towards Lean thinking
• Lead & drive change & process improvement initiatives; lead studies and analyses to evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement, deploying Lean Sigma tools in the diagnostics and assessments
• Develop & maintain standard KPI’s and score cards to easily report progress, and align KPI’s and scorecards from across the site, and instruct employees, supervisors and senior leaders in the use of KPI’s
• Ensure that tools, resources and instructional materials re developed, updated and maintained to meet ongoing needs

We Value

• A Bachelor's Degree in Science or Business Degree is required
• At least 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Site Operations, with a good understanding of Supply Chain
• Project Management & Change Management experience as well as experience driving process improvements; Lean Six Sigma highly advantageous
• Highly proficient in MS Office, strong presentation skills and ability to present to a large audience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels across the organisation, hands on self-starter & autonomous professional
• Excellent English, both written and verbal, and able to speak at least one African vernacular language is strongly preferred
