PURPOSE OF POSITION

• To ensure the smooth operation of all maintenance duties are fulfilled promptly and efficiently.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Electrical work.
• Painting and surface finishing.
• General repairs of furniture and equipment.
• Performing various general duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work standby shifts as needed.

COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Proficient computer literate.
• Ability to effectively communicate with hospital staff.
• Valid drivers license

SKILLS
(Practical & Technical)

• Basic Handyman skills
• Basic Plumbing, painting skills
• Basic electrical and mechanical repairs
• HVAC maintenance
• Tool handling and physically fit
• Preventative maintenance
• Communicate effectively with all staff regarding maintenance issues
• Reading and completing technical documentation
