Maintenance Foreman - Germiston at BlueMarble

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the maintenance team in conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all production machinery and equipment.
• Plan and execute maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruptions to production processes and maximize machinery efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions promptly.
• Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure an adequate supply of spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness among the maintenance team and adhering to all safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the production and quality control teams to maintain the highest product quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and work orders.
• Develop and conduct training programs to enhance the skills of maintenance personnel and keep them updated with the latest industry practices.
• Continuously evaluate maintenance processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Requirements:

• Red seal trade in Millwright or higher
• HACCP knowledge
• 3-5 years in a similar role in a food manufacturing plant or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, industrial machinery, and electrical systems.
