    Outdoor Controller

    Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Outdoor Controller to support our vibrant store and aid in providing exceptional customer experiences.

    Job Objectives

    • Operational Support: Assist in managing daily store operations, including inventory control, staffing support, and maintaining a smooth workflow.
    • Financial Monitoring: Help oversee budgeting and financial performance, including executing sales reports and managing cash-handling procedures.
    • Customer Service: Support the team in providing top-notch service, ensuring that every visitor has a positive experience while exploring our range of outdoor products.
    • Inventory Management: Assist in managing stock levels, inventory orders, and product displays to optimize sales opportunities.
    • Marketing Support: Contribute to implementing local marketing initiatives and assist in community engagement efforts to enhance brand visibility and loyalty.
    • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to management to identify areas for improvement.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Grade 12

    Experience

    • Proven experience in retail operations or support roles, preferably within the outdoor or sporting goods industry.
    • A passion for outdoor activities and a solid understanding of customer needs in this category.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide support to customers and staff alike.
    • Basic analytical skills to assist in evaluating performance metrics and making informed recommendations.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Baker (Shoprite Bayside)

    Purpose of the Job

    • As Shoprite's Bakery brand ambassador, you bring joy to our customers lives by ensuring theyhave all the fresh baked goods on our product list at their convenience.
    • You work hard to promote a good image of the Shoprite brand by following company standards including health and safety requirements, as you produce a wide variety of fresh and delicious tasting baked products.
    • You dilligently follow Shoprite's bakery recipes and product and display guidelines to surprise and delight our customers with a consistent bakery product experience.

    Job Objectives

    • Prepre and produce quality bakery products
    • Apply housekeeping, food and safety and hygiene standards
    • Plan, prepare and process/excute production according to effective schedules
    • Focus on maximising sales and limiting waste
    • Ensure customer satisfaction with their bakery products
    • Coach bakery assistants and new bakers to increase bakery production quality and capacity

    Qualifications

    • Ideally you have completed or working towards your Grade 12 or equivalent certificate.

    Experience

    • Experience as a baker assistant/baker in retail baking environment including preparing and baking a variety of baked goods (pastries, breads, rolls, etc)

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques and quality standards.
    • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and OHS Act
    • Creative orientation towards baking
    • A strong attention to detail and high quality orientation
    • Ability to communicate in English

    Purpose of the Job

    • The Furniture Division of the Shoprite Group, Africa's largest retailer, currently has an exciting opportunity available for you to join our Furniture Team as an Admin Controller. This opportunity will have you operating in a fast-paced environment. Your primary purpose is to supervise and control the administration of cash and credit functions within the branch.
