Maintenance Supervisor (PE Region) at Afrimat

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics is essential
• Electrical or Mechanical trade certificate (red seal).
• Minimum 5 years demonstrated Supervisory experience
• Maintenance Management experience
• Code EB Driver’s license will be an advantage
• Experience with the maintenance and operation of crushing and mobile plants
• Legal/Operational compliance knowledge MHSA
• Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Computer literate – MS Office (excel, word, outlook, etc.)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Clear Criminal Record

Duties and responsibilities (not limited to)

• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with all SHE and MHSA legislation
• Pro-actively support and participate in safety, health and environmental initiatives
• Oversee the overall functions of the mechanical and maintenance workshop
• Maintenance and reliable operation of all assigned infrastructure, machinery and plants
• Managing and developing the Maintenance staff
• Coordinating maintenance activities and staff
• Liaising with the Quarry Managers
• Supplier Management & Liaison
• Operating & administering the Computerised Maintenance System (On-Key)
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace
• Manage and maintain tools
• Work overtime when required, provided such a requirement is reasonable and
• compliant with the relevant legislation
• Maintain a well-disciplined and productive working environment
• Planning and coordinating scheduled maintenance with the relevant staff
