    Maintenance Technician

    Responsibilities

    • Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. 
    • Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
    • Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
    • Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts. 
    • Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
    • Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations. 
    • Sharpening and maintaining machine tools 
    • Participating in the Preventive Maintenance program on all equipment for the continuous improvement of all machines. 
    • Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation 
    • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery 
    • Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances 
    • Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area 
    • Performing other related duties as assigned
    • Ensure completion of weekly Dock Level Preventive Maintenance. 
    • Liaise with service contract and facilitate completion of Monthly Goods lift Preventive Maintenance. 
    • Ensure completion of all portable electrical equipment’s preventive maintenance.
    • Ensure completion of DB boards Preventive maintenance. 
    • Maintenance of Dock Levelers 
    • Maintenance of fast rollers door systems
    • Maintenance of BTU’s (Battery trip Units)
    • Maintenance of electrical equipment and installation of PMHV chargers

    Qualifications

    • N4 Plus Trade Test Certificate (Millwright)
    • A Diploma is advantageous with a Millwright Trade
    • 2-3 years of Maintenance experience in the Automotive industry.
    • Physical ability to lift up to 13.5kg
