5-8 years' relevant working experience of which 3 years' experience should be in a supervisory level. Planning and Organizing skills, computer literacy.
Must have a valid driver's license. Knowledge of Municipal Legislations, i.e. Municipal Finance Management Act, Municipal Systems Act, etc.
Duties:
Initiate and manage the design, action, management and coordination of all project work streams (SBU's) and work process required to ensure the implementation of operational plan within the approved parameters.
Manage the development of the templates and forward the work streams (SBU's) for inputs. Manage the inputs received from different work streams (SBU's) according to the targeted area.
Manage the monitoring of the budget and advise the workstreams (SBU's) on the availability of resources. Assess projects organizational needs and development business model. Manage and verify the identified investment opportunities and investment partners. Manage the engagement of relevant stakeholders.
Monitor and identify the project and send it for approval. Monitor the implementation of the project at the planning phase until the project is transferred to the relevant responsible SBU.
Manage the contracts of service providers within SBU's. Review all work in line with AFS preparation that is performed by the accountant. Prepare quarterly, annual and consolidated financial statements using CaseWare. Complete the GRAP checklist. Ensure that the National Treasury requirement regarding the AFS are complied with
