Manager, Business, Structuring at Standard Bank Group

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible to manage a team enabling Business and Country Heads to provide fit for purpose solutions across multiple locations. Able to assess strategic priorities, affordability, implement and adapt solutions to suit the conditions across different contexts to influence and steer achievement of Group driven objectives. Priorities are determined with Business and Country Heads to achieve overall strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Licence to Operate

• Assist local teams to ensure Wholesale Clients specific compliance to regulatory changes or external factors impacting license to operate

Strategy

• Accountable to articulate and implement a plan and communication to operationalise the strategy in response to shifts in the markets and client expectations. Use Group and local metrics to monitor strategy implementation and influence decision making to achieve strategy.

Client

• Operationally transform the client experience for local and multi-national client groups by enabling client service teams with best practices to suit client portfolio, market conditions and service delivery across the value chain.

Financial Management

• Manage partnerships to prioritise and improve operational efficiency and client experience within the local context to achieve strategic priorities with the optimal use of limited resources. Monitor and manage financial and business performance to adapt to changes in revenue and affordability of initiatives.

Data

• Coordination and facilitation of data sources and reporting requirements from several sources to provide a comprehensive view of franchise health and client pipeline at the right level and accuracy.

Risk, Regulatory, Prudential & Compliance

• Proactively monitor risk metrics and implement risk mitigation initiatives to promote operational resilience within the local context. Ensure the implementation and adherence to controls to monitor and mitigate risks.

People

• Implement bespoke or adapted organisational effectiveness initiatives and practices to promote optimal performance and operational efficiency within the local teams and between 0 interdependent teams. Maintain adherence to people promise standards and values.

• Able to use established networks inside and outside the organisation deliver shared outcomes

• Experience integrating initiatives across projects and target audiences to exploit economies of scale, shared learning and optimal resource utilisation
