    Manager Commercial Intelligence

    Purpose
    This is a cross-functional position where the selected candidate will

    • Work together with the commercial teams to generate insights resulting from commercial activities and translate them into value.
    • Contribute to the business’ objectives by enabling better decision-making through an applied understanding of the consumer journey.
    • Guide prioritization of initiatives to impact the consumer journey through continuous testing and monitoring of feedback.
    • Identify trends and opportunities through the analysis of various internal data sources.
    • Respond to immediate need of teams for customer insight and problem-solving, using internal data sources.
    • Drive customer-centricity across the company through transparency and knowledge sharing.
    • Work in a cross functional team with a design and business background who are comfortable working outside their field of expertise.
    • Analyze PM/competitive sales information, market trends and Key Sales Indicators to support for seeking business building opportunity and business decision making


    Accountability 
    Reporting

    • Provide insights based on internal system data and work together with the Market Research team to connect the dots with consumer information, to ensure that it is readily available and disseminated in a timely manner.
    • Ensures that the business intelligence reports enhance business decision making capabilities.
    • Perform assessment on all reporting requirements and provide guidance on improved various reporting solutions.
    • Monitor Key Performance Indicators for business initiatives and across projects.


    Accountability 
    Analysis

    • Constantly evaluate and improve the existing commercial KPIs in order to provide most relevant information for commercial performance.
    • Audit and implement steps to remedy data quality including making recommendations for end users.
    • Collate and analyze data from different sources to articulate a coherent and seamless consumer journey with the various touchpoints cross functionally.
    • Draw insights relevant to business activity lead by data and the voice of the consumer.


    Accountability 

    • Process and tool development
    • Identify opportunities for the enhancements of existing activities or exploring and testing of new initiatives with the potential to provide competitive advantage to the company.
    • Support the development of business processes which will provide relevant information to benefit commercial activity.
    • Support cross- functional teams with business processes and procedure implementation to ensure capturing of data that can be used to enrich analysis.


    Accountability 

    • Data management
    • Manage the maintenance of database to ensure data integrity and single source to all level of organization.
    • Ensure implementation of best practices on data maintenance
    • Support creation of relevant and easy to use user documentation for system end-users within.
    • Support Internal Controls department in producing procedural documents relevant to the system.


    College / University

    • Relevant tertiary degree or diploma.


    Work Experience

    • At least +5 years’ experience in data analysis in a startup, corporate or agency environment, within the innovation or new product development space.
    • Experience in Retail or FMCG industry.
    • Structuring data into reports and dashboards to deliver insights.
    • Experience in analytics software such as Tableau, Power Bi, Qlikview, other related data visualization tools.


    Other skills/ Functional skills.

    • Ability to analyze large scale multi- channel data, using consumer analytics to arrive at data driven business decisions to prioritize efforts along the consumer journey
    • Cross- functional collaboration with good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Analytical skills
    • Holistic thinker, comfortable presenting to leadership teams on insights and data-led strategy.
