Requirements

• Be in possession of a three-year degree or diploma in the humanities and social sciences.

Added advantage is:

• Communication qualification and/or experience.
• Conservation, tourism, or socio-economic transformation-related qualification or experience.
• Should have 5 years of working experience in content writing or editing, or a similar field.
• Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience or exposure to the fields of conservation, tourism, and/or socio-economic transformation will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to produce simplified content.
• Draft concept notes, strategies, and plans
• Researching to understand topics and audiences, crafting original content, and ensuring its relevance.
• Create unique, user-friendly, and informative content
• Draft briefing notes on researched content and for interview preparations.
• Analyse the performance of content based on multiple KPIs.
• Identify content setbacks and effectiveness, and determine the best content strategy moving forward.
• Create, write, and design content tailored for various mediums.
• Editing and checking the quality and accuracy of content prior to publication.
• Draft speeches as and when required.
• Draft articles.
• Edit and update existing content.
• Publish new content that is edited and proofread.
• Draft concept notes.
• Manage and improve content, including establishing strategic content objectives and choosing the most effective ways to represent the brand.
• Identify communication opportunities.
• Working in tandem with various teams and brainstorming to produce unique and quality content.
• Collaborate with the marketing team, Graphic Designers, and Front-End Developers to brainstorm and develop creative content ideas.
• Coordinate the content’s dissemination across all of SANParks platforms, including social media.
