Manager, Design at NTT Ltd.

As Design Lead you will be responsible for executing high quality creative work as well as the oversight and day-to-day management of a design team. The responsibilities include setting the direction of the team, ensuring that the team is working effectively, that all deadlines are being met, as well as maintaining the highest quality work.

A deep understanding of design and brand is essential. As Design Lead you will champion the brand and will not only assist in oversight, creation and governance of templates aligned with the visual identity system but also ensure that both the internal team and external vendors work within the strict parameters set out by our guidelines. As part of your role you will be expected to understand strategies, business problems and briefs, and translate these into creative solutions and executions.

The ideal candidate is someone who has strong technical abilities as well as experience in leading and a passion for brand.

• Have a strong understanding of brand, graphic design and design principles.
• Understand corporate identities and maintain brand consistency through various channels and platforms.
• Understand strategies and briefs, and translate these into creative solutions and executions.
• Review work and provide feedback to team members.
• Liaise with the traffic department and production manager to ensure that job deadlines are adhered to.
• Craft and finish work to the highest possible standards.
• Oversee design projects so as to maintain and grow the brand’s identity and stature.
• Review work with the Creative Director, Strategy team and Account Managers.
• Be a strong team player, work within a team environment and be a support to fellow team members.
• Relevant Degree or diploma
• 8-10 years of relevant industry experience
• Provide leadership & inspiration to the design team
• Build & maintain effective working relationships with external and internal interfaces
• Possess excellent communication & presentation skills
• Ability to work under a significant amount of pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Be open minded and have the ability to embrace change

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or related in a relevant field such creative design

Required work experience:

• Demonstrable relevant work experience gained in a similar role
• Demonstrated portfolio of previous creative design work
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team
