    Manager - Operations

    As Operations Manager, responsible for carrying out all the blending, filling, scheduling and maintenance and Capital projects activities to properly execute the tasks compliantly as per OE expectations, customer demand and in an appropriate, cost-effective way. Liaise with the LMP Manager to provide overall direction to the lubricant’s facility setting strategic goals and executing initiatives. Establishes direction and visible leadership in the development and implementation of Operational Excellence (OE), including Health, Environment, Safety, Reliability, Efficiency and Quality to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success. Champion’s culture of Incident Free Operation by using the 10 Life Saving Behaviours as a core code of conduct

    Manage Opex and Capex forecast and spend within approved budgets

    Constantly improves the efficiencies and effectiveness of the operation with minimal capital investment

    Inventory Management of all raw materials and finished goods with agreed tolerances

    Ensure production KPI’s are met thorough efficient plant operations to ensure product availability to service customer orders

    Ensure all agreed Safety and Operational  KPI’s and objectives  are met

    Establish & maintain communications with support functions as HR, IT & Finance.

    Support and cooperate fully with all stakeholders associated with operations for planning, procurement, logistics, quality, and maintenance to ensure customer’s expectations are met.

    Mentor team members to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations

    Recruit, train and supervise staff

    • Professional Qualification and Certifications: B.Sc Eng (Mechanical/Chemical)
    • B.Sc
    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering,
    • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management
    • Supply Chain Management

     or equivalent qualification in this field of manufacturing operations

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Petrochemical environment, specifically Lubricants Manufacturing
    • Proven work experience as operations manager or similar role
    • Knowledge and skills:
    • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
    • Experience budgeting and forecasting
    • Familiarity with business and financial principles
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Leadership ability
    • Outstanding organizational skills
    • Must have demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team of manufacturing workers.
