Manager, Risk & Governance - Roodepoort, Ellis Street 4 at Standard Bank Group

Job Description

• To ensure that sound governance is applied in managing all risk types within Standard Insurance Limited (SIL) in line with BU Risk Appetite and Policies for SIL and the Standard Bank Group, with specific focus on Third Party Risk and monitoring of SIL’s third parties.
• This function will also oversee and manage SIL’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: B.Com Law/LLB or equivalent, Risk Management Degree or Internal Audit
• Field of Study: Law, Business Commerce, Risk and Auditing

Experience Required

• 5-7 years experience Compliance monitoring / auditing experience, development or sound monitoring methodologies and owning the end-to-end monitoring process.

Experience on the following would represent an advantage to the role:

• Experience as a compliance officer / auditor
• Experience in business management / risk management
• Insurance industry experience
