    Manager: Social Media

    The Social Media Manager will develop and execute sound social media marketing plans, activities and campaigns to ensure contribution to the achievement of the marketing and business strategy. Effectively manage social media comments, queries and complaints on the organizations social media pages and engage with the social media community to encourage engagement.  

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute sound social media marketing plans, activities and campaigns to ensure contribution to the achievement of the marketing and business strategy.
    • Develop and implement social media plans and interfaces that help build interactive conversations into the brand experience including Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and YouTube.
    • Collaborate with above the line marketing to amplify marketing campaigns through social media, monitor engagement and interactions and stimulate conversations that interest the audience.
    • Design and implement analytics to define and refine social media KPI’s and value, including impact on brand affinity from social media interactions.
    • Work collaboratively across the organization to recommend social media marketing strategies in order to drive traffic, increase customer acquisition, engagement, retention and revenue. 
    • Design and implement a social media marketing governance framework to ensure that all social media marketing activities are compliant to agreed protocols, standards and rules.
    • Design and implement processes to monitor, identify and report topical issues and themes currently being discussed on social media relevant to the market and the organization.
    • Take ownership of all necessary third party software and tools required for effective management of the organizations social media channels and reporting.
    • Actively respond to comments and customer queries on social media.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders to relay customer feedback and insights gained from online conversations within the community.
    • Develop and manage key reports and analytics to measure effectiveness of campaigns and programs to make adjustments as needed.
    • Actively research upcoming digital technology trends and design and implement solutions to address the change in digital technology. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5 – 8 years’ experience in digital marketing.  
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience leading a marketing team.
