Job Description

• To lead and manage the implementation, enablement, integration, monitoring, and reporting of Sustainability (Environmental, Social and Governance – ESG) initiatives across Standard Insurance Limited (SIL) as a primary focus, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, Group frameworks, and industry best practices.
• The role is accountable for enterprise‑wide ESG enablement, acts as SIL’s primary ESG management focal point, and provides senior oversight, advice, and coordination (BAU and once-off project initiatives) of climate and sustainability‑related initiatives.
• The secondary focus is the management and enablement of ESG‑related and sustainability‑related regulatory compliance, in partnership with the second‑line Compliance function, including emerging regulations and existing obligations.

Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: Degree
• Field of Study: Environmental Sciences/Management, Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Sustainability, or related field.

Experience Required                                                                                                                                                

• 8-12 years 
• ESG / Sustainability leadership experience, with track record of implementing sustainability initiatives, and providing sound expertise.                                                       
• Insurance, Risk, Compliance experience
• Senior stakeholder, committee, and regulatory engagement experience
