Job summary:
Responsible for the supervision of all waste collection program activities.
Responsible for the supervision, promotion and implementation of all recycling program activities.
Responsible for planning of daily work schedules and timekeeping of work crews.
Responsible for optimizing collection routes and ensuring full utilization of manpower and equipment.
Responsible to ensure a healthy and safe work environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
Responsible for completing and submitting injury investigation/workplace health & safety/University equipment/property damage/hired equipment reports and ensuring daily equipment maintenance is performed and co-ordinate preventative maintenance with Manager waste management.
Assist in preparation of departmental budget and provide recommendations for capital expenditures.
Create, revise and implement Standard Operating Procedures for the department.
