Market Insights Associate at Standard Chartered Bank

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Keep abreast of all market changes in the AME region via various sources of information such as through websites of market regulators and authorities and broadsheet newspapers.
• Coordinate and support country teams with the creation of daily newsflashes, quarterly market information newsletters, frequently asked questions on key market developments and ensure they are accurate and delivered promptly.
• Monitor service standards and perform review of newsflashes to identify opportunities for improvement in quality and timeliness of newsflashes.
• Support country teams with the review of market profiles and ensure they are constantly updated on the Market Information Website (MIW).
• Support country teams with the on-boarding of clients to the MIW platform.
• Manage distribution lists.
• Participate in wider Group Product team initiatives as needed e.g. MIW system enhancements.
• Co-ordinate local market advocacy efforts and provide periodic updates to internal stakeholders and clients.

Strategy:

• Supports the Regional Product Head in identifying strategic changes locally, and ensuring teams are kept aware of broader industry trends and changes.

Business:

• Provides MIS on the functionality of the Market Insights function.
• Benchmarks country newsflash turnaround times.

Processes:

• Monitor service standards and perform review of newsflashes to identify opportunities for improvement in quality and timeliness of newsflashes.
• Periodically reviews process to ensure optimal efficiency.

Governance:

• Reviews and updates operating model and processes for Newsflash generation.
• Updates governance documents as required.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• University Graduate in Business/Banking/Finance.
• Experience in Securities Services in Sales/Relationship Management, Client Services, Implementation or Operations a plus.
