Marketing Coordinator at Pepkor Speciality

Job Description    

• The Refinery marketing team is looking for a trend-obsessed and energetic Marketing Coordinator to join the team. This role involves coordinating campaign events and activities across channels and stores, liaising with suppliers, managing reporting and expenses, as well as handling customer support and listening tasks. Our ideal candidate must be a passionate, self-motivated, positive, customer-centric, and resilient individual who loves the fashion industry and wants to add value to the team.

Qualifications    

• A Diploma in Marketing or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

• Knowledge of Google Suite, Gemini, Brand Watch or similar systems. 
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Marketing Assistant/Coordinator preferably  within a retail environment. 
• Experience in planning & scheduling meeting calendars. 
• Experience in working within a Marketing department and coordinating marketing activities. 
• Understanding of retail store & online operations. Liaising and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Customer service and support experience. 
• Creative execution of communications internal & external. 
• Understanding of advertising and marketing processes in a retail environment. 
• Marketing Campaign and Content Coordination experience.  
• Working knowledge of financial concepts and tracking costs against a budget. 
• Excellent language skills (verbal & written) in English. Excellent administrative, organization and planning skills and project management. 
• Self-reliant, self-motivated, results orientated and have an ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines without supervision and persistence to follow through to completion. Excellent interpersonal skills. 
• Excellent negotiation skills in dealing with suppliers, advertising agencies and external providers. 
• High focus on attention to detail. Systematic approach to working towards deadlines and execution of projects timeously. 
• Excellent time management skills in order to work under pressure and to deliver to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities    

• Ensure the planning & coordination across various marketing tasks, channels & departments. 
• Plan, schedule , coordinate meetings and workshops. 
• Support customers online on social media channels, resolve complaints & queries and liaise with the customer support centre. 
• Create & send internal & external communications. 
• Coordinate new store opening activities & liaise with Mall Marketing on possible marketing opportunities. 
• Collaborate on marketing projects and work in synergy with the marketing team. 
• Maintain and build relationships with the stores, buying department, operations, and suppliers. 
• Coordinating campaign, ecomm  shoots and managing the critical path to ensure deadlines are met. 
• Load new suppliers & capture all relevant info. 
• Track costs against a budget and coordinate the processing of monthly invoices to ensure timeous payments thereof. 
• General marketing related administrative duties for the brand.
