Our client - a Multi-National Consumer / Personal Care company is recruiting for a Marketing Director (EXCO Member). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading an effective marketing strategy across South and Southern Africa to propel company growth for the entire Consumer Portfolio.In this role you will be reporting directly to the General Manager with a staff compliment of 9 direct reports (and a team of 30). Our client is looking for a market distributor with the ability to independently drive innovation, new product development, digital marketing, brand & communication strategies and drive a high-performance marketing team across different markets in Africa.

• Responsible for net sales budget of R 3,6 Billion
• Manage an annual marketing budget of R 500 Million
• End to end marketing experience from strategy, innovation brief to activation
• Experience in digital marketing is essential – one of the company's current challenges is to bridge the gap in the team
• Balance between technical capability and strong leadership – role sits within the SA Leadership team
• Role covers South and Southern Africa markets – prior regional experience will be an added advantage

Requirements and non-negotiable’s:

• Bachelor's degree /MBA / Business Degree
• At least 2-3 years at Marketing Director level within a Multi-National FMCG organisation
• Innovation pipeline development experience
• Digital Marketing transformation
• Strong management and team development experience
