    Marketing Specialist

    Your role and responsibilities

    • In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive and implement marketing activities for the assigned market segments in line with the agreed strategy. Each day, you will conduct market analyses using available marketing tools for existing and potential products, systems, and/or services for assigned markets. You will also showcase your expertise by creating end-user acceptance and specification offerings tailored to the target segments while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and continuously monitoring segment performance.
    • The work model for the role is: Onsite
    • This role is contributing to the Product Marketing Director, Distribution Solutions in South Africa. Main stakeholders are Product Groups, Product management. The role of the marketing specialist will assist in executing the marketing strategy and enabling the Sales Team by development of customer and company facing collateral and supporting within Industry events. The marketing specialist will work with Subject matter experts and translating business and technical business content into customer literature and advertising material.

    You will be mainly accountable for:

    • Developing marketing concepts, in accordance with ABB branding guidelines.
    • Creating and editing promotional materials for use through various media channels.
    • Managing the creation, production, and publication of brochures, catalogues, and other sales literature, in either printed or electronic form to support sales activities and product launches.
    • Lead experiences: Coordinate quarterly product launches, and other events, ensuring flawless execution and alignment with brand strategy.
    • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with product management, sales, and creative partners to deliver integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Collecting data and providing sound market and competitor intelligence analyses related to global markets and trends.
    • Tracking and providing management with global market research and analysis results, informing them of identified existing gaps or new growth opportunities.
    • Monitoring market trends and accordingly recommending improvements in the marketing strategy and planning to meet changing market and competitive landscapes.
    • Providing appropriate market information to support long- to mid-term decision-making on the marketing strategy.

    Qualifications for the role

    • You are highly skilled in developing artwork and designs of marketing collateral within the Electrical Industry.
    • Diploma/ Degree in Marketing or similar
    • Experience: 2–5 years in marketing, digital marketing campaigns, business strategy, or related fields.
    • Technical skills: Proficiency with emailing tools, i.e., Pardot, Constant contact.
    • Mindset: Proactive, strategic thinker, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Collaboration: Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach; able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • You hold currently a Drivers
    • A South Africa Citizen
