We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Mathematics and Natural Sciences Teacher to join our team at Elkanah House High School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, have a strong knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences concepts, and be able to create engaging and interactive lessons to inspire and educate students.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students with varying levels of understanding
Teach mathematics and natural sciences courses to students in a clear and engaging manner
Assess student learning through tests, quizzes, and projects
Provide feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans and projects
Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Teaching certification in Mathematics and Natural Sciences
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a high school setting
Strong knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences concepts
Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
