Medical Specialist Grade 1 to 3 (Internal Medicine) at Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• Registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine
• Grade 1: None / Grade 2: 5 years / Grade 3: 10 years experience
• Valid (Code B/EB or higher) driver's license. Participate in after-hours call system.
• Proven competency in managing Internal Medicine cases independently
• Proven knowledge to perform special investigations including Echocardiography, Bronchoscopy, Holter ECG, Bone marrow Biopsy and Ultrasound-guided Biopsies

DUTIES:

• Ensure delivery of comprehensive, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality healthcare services
• Promote positive patient experience aligned with Value System
• Promote and sustain strong clinical governance
• Create and support conducive learning environment for students
• Provide outreach and support services to strengthen healthcare delivery
