Responsibilities:

• Manage SHEQ compliance within the Department through effective use of the Toolbox
• Utilize the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.
•  Ensure an enabling climate/culture in line with the company values
• Manage labour stability by minimizing labour turnover
• Manage performance against targets (IDPs), ensure IDPs are linked to performance results and implemented as per plan, and conduct career discussions with identified talent
• Ensure discipline is maintained
• Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels
• Conduct recruitment interviews
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Ensure the safe and environmentally friendly operation of the Metallurgical processes
• Manage the Metallurgical process
• Manage the Logistics process
• Ensure the Quality standards are maintained
• Liaise with Mining and Engineering to ensure effective and efficient process flow.
• Manage Continuous Improvement through Operational Excellence
• Develop growth opportunities in cooperation with Mineral Resources and Mining
• Manage the Metallurgy budget

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• BSc or BTech degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
• 8 years of production experience
• 3 years of experience in a managerial role
• 3 years of experience in mineral processing
