    Plant/Mine Manager - Mining Industry - R1.8Mil - R1.6Mil

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure health and safety functions required of the employer are carried out in terms of Section 3(1)(a) of the MHSA, including all mandatory Code of Practices, risk assessment programmes, occupational hygiene programmes and any other programmes required to ensure effective environmental, health and safety management

    Project Construction Superintendent - Mining Industry - R1Mil - R970K

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and oversee all Mechanical and Electrical works for all the mine projects from construction to commissioning
    • Supervise the Mechanical and Electrical Daily Work plan activities for all construction projects by liaison with all related stakeholders, including but not limited to clients, contractors; sub-contractors, consultants; service vendors, etc.
    • Review and familiarize with all Mechanical, Structural, and Piping General Arrangement drawings in all design aspects, ensure all construction drawings with the latest revisions are approved, issued to the Mine Project Office and both Mechanical and Electrical contractors are notified and to work in accordance with the latest revised drawings
    • Facilitate the commissioning of all Mechanical and Electrical Installations with the various disciplines according to the AML commissioning procedure
    • Inspect all the Mechanical & Electrical Installations for conformances to meet the Company and Client’s specifications, as well as per local, international, and statutory standards for Mechanical and Electrical
    • Compile progress reports on pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for all Electrical and Mechanical infrastructure scope of work, including but not limited to monitoring all pre-commissioning checks, progress of any remedial defects’ liability work, and release of retention monies, etc.
    • Facilitate the compilation of full data packs with maintenance manuals (maintenance programme if applicable) for all Mechanical & Electrical Infrastructure scope of work
    • Ensure the As-Built construction drawings obtained from consultants and contractors are updated on the mine master plan
    • Oversee the Quality Assurance, such that all dimensional checks are done in accordance to QAPs/QCPs/ITPSs, on all Mechanical and Electrical equipment used for all projects and ensure the identifications for all Mechanical and Electrical equipment, including but not limited to the related tag numbers, descriptions, size, and motor kW, etc., are updated on latest equipment list
    • Assist in verification of all contractor’s invoices, claims for extension of time or additional payment requests for Mechanical & Electrical project disciplines and submit to Project Manager for final approval
    • Assist in the coordination of “Statutory Authorities” (i.e., QCPs/ITPs/QAPs and Certificate of Compliance, etc.) for all Electrical and Mechanical infrastructure scope of work
    • Ensure all contractors comply with all regulations related to the Mine Safety, Health, and Environmental Policy in the execution of their duties and the necessary rectification, improvement, or compliance are done timely upon request
    • Maintain professional conduct and achieve good communication with all levels of the stakeholders, including but not limited to all levels of teammates, contractors, consultants, clients, etc., per the Company’s code of conduct and company policies/procedures; and Handle any ad-hoc assignment assigned by the Company from time to time
