Plant Manager - Mining Industry - R1.14Mil - R960K at Hire Resolve

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all resources and processes to maximize the productivity of daily production in terms of quality standards, production volumes, yields, costs and lost time
• Develop and maintain process knowledge competencies at the factory, including technical and management competencies, talent review, career and succession planning
• Lead, organize, and control the Carbonates plant including required resources such as manpower, equipment etc. in order to meet established production requirements at the agreed efficiency levels
• Ensure that employees are suitably qualified by frequently reviewing their competency and establishing training needs to ensure a competent workforce whilst also effectively managing performance
• Develop and manage systems and processes that guarantee sustained plant utilization together with continuous improvement & effective root cause analysis and associated corrective action;
• Ensure that work carried out by subordinates complies with work instructions, quality assurance plans, legislation such as ISO 9001, Mine Health and Safety Act
• Manage dispute resolution processes and consultation sessions to ensure that subordinates comply with the policy and procedure
• Operate according to and maintain Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Standards and Procedures
• Management of warehousing and stock control for all warehouses under Carbonates

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• BSc in Mining Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a management or leadership position
• Plant Operations experience
• Sound financial understanding and ability, with previous experience in forecasting, budgeting and cost management
• An in-depth understanding of milling processes
