MICE Consultant at Professional Career Services

Job Description

• Compile attractive, creative proposals with accurate costings. 
• Book and execute all services as per client’s bookings including and not limited to: Flights, accommodation, transfers, restaurants, gifting, couriers, AV, entertainment, MC’s etc. 
• Ensure that all supplier on-boarding protocols are followed. 
• Ensure that client’s special requests are catered for including and not limited to: Dietary, medical, flight seating, accommodation etc.
• Design, implement and manage efficient RSVP systems using our third-party suppliers. Issue flight tickets for groups and FIT travellers including manual fare builds where necessary. 
• Effectively manage suppliers, domestic and foreign. 
• Liaise with suppliers for design and gifting elements.
•  Manage the visa application process where relevant. Generate all required documents including and not limited to: Working doc, flight lists, rooming lists etc. 
• Tour lead where required on groups and/or site inspections – whether as primary or support crew. 
• Manage on-site budgeting.
•  Ensure that all refunds from suppliers including airlines are efficiently processed and followed up until the refund has been received. 
• Action post trip survey. 
• Compile a thorough post-trip recon to present to client.

Employer Description

• Travel Agency in Johannesburg. 
• Monday to Friday. 
• Overtime will be required when necessary. 
• Working hours are not applicable when travelling with groups.

Qualifications
Matric.

Skills

• Minimum of 5 years recently within the MICE segment.
• Local and outbound travel. Working with groups from 10 – 400 pax.
• Effectively and calmly manage crisis.
• GDS – preferably Galileo (current).
• MS Office.
