The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for working within the BI team to deliver reporting and dashboard solutions that meet the needs of the organisation. The developer must work well in a team setting and have excellent organisational, prioritisation, communication, and time management skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple and changing priorities and be able to successfully collaborate with development teams, technology groups, consultants, and key stakeholders.

Key Performance Areas:

• Expertise in Data Warehouse, ETL, Cube and Report design and development

• Ability to design and plan scalable BI solutions

• Experience with requirements gathering

• Strong SQL Developer skills

• Strong analytical skills

• Extensive experience with report development using various tools (SSRS, Crystal, Tableau, Excel, etc.)

• Good working knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and proper workflow design and exception management

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming methods. VB.NET, or C# background preferred

• Expertise working with relational and multidimensional database schemas and writing queries

• Ability to solve real-world business problems by designing and building queries sourced from OLAP (online analytical processing) cubes, applying data mining algorithms, writing queries, and designing reports using various toolsets and a SQL Server data warehouse

• Perform analysis, design, development, validation and implementation of reports. Ability to analyse data issues within reports.

• Ability to provide estimates to support timelines and deliverables

• Design and build lists, cross-tabs, graphs, scorecards, metrics, filters, prompts, standard reports and dashboards

• Follow and enhance BI standards and best practices across the team

• Collaborate and mentor team members on methodology, design and architecture

• Ensure optimal end user performance by establishing and consistently executing overall system performance assessment processes and associated action plans

• Operates with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Ability to work on multiple projects at once

• Provide consultation on complex projects and act as a top-level contributor

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years Microsoft BI experience

Technical Skill required

• Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PowerBI

• The candidate must have strong SQL scripting skills

• Azure experience is highly advantageous

• Sequel server 2012 upwards

• Visual studio

• Exposure of PowerBI

• Data Warehousing experience (KIMBALL methodology)

• Sharepoint online

• Master Data Services

• Spatial/ ArchGIS Platform
