Mid-Level C# Developer | On-site | George, WC at Badger Holdings (Pty) Ltd

About the role

• You’ll join a close-knit development team in George, working alongside developers, project managers and QA specialists to build, maintain and improve the systems that support Dotsure.
• Your work will span established platforms and newer technologies, so you’ll need to be comfortable getting into existing code, solving complex problems and building better ways of doing things.
• You’ll work with technologies including C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core, Dapper, JavaScript, MS SQL, T-SQL and Azure DevOps.
• Most importantly, you’ll see the impact of what you build,  whether that’s creating smoother customer experiences, improving internal processes or helping Dotsure move faster.

 Requirements

About you

• You’ve got 2+ years of software development experience, with a solid foundation in C# and Microsoft technologies. Now you’re looking for a role where you can take on more ownership and keep growing.

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ professional software development experience, ideally in a C#/.NET environment.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field. We will also consider equivalent practical experience. 
• Solid working knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Practical experience with ASP.NET/MVC and/or .NET Core.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL, including writing and troubleshooting SQL/T-SQL queries.
• A good understanding of relational database design.
• Experience with source control and collaborative development workflows; Azure DevOps experience would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of core development principles, including object-oriented programming, debugging, testing, and maintainable code
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for strong fundamentals, the right mindset and the drive to keep learning.
