Job Overview:

• Electrically and mechanically maintain site machinery. To do planned and preventative maintenance.
• Test units to evaluate electrical and mechanical operations
• Fault find on programmable logical circuits (PLC's)
• Installation and Assembly of machinery
• Maintenance and repair of machinery involving electrical and mechanical repairs, ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity
• Perform preventive maintenance checks
• Blueprint reading and understanding
• Welding and fabrication
• Adhere to safe working practice

Qualifications

• Matric and N5-N6 Qualification
• Millwright Trade Test certificate
• 5+ years relevant maintenance experience in the FMCG environment
• Strong technical abilities to resolve complex engineering plant breakdowns
• The individual must be a team player
• Preferable to have a wireman’s license or must be interested and willing to study and attain a wireman’s license
• PLC and automation experience
• Ensure machinery and equipment are in good operating condition
• Resolve daily plant breakdowns and complete root cause analysis while leveraging the reliability function for key support
• This role may require off-shift and weekend work including standby with own vehicle
