Operating/ shutting down and changing over machines and equipment to prescribed standards
Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometres, and plumb bobs
Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation
Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using blueprints and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures
Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specifies clearances between moving and stationary parts.
Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools.
Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
Shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment.
Lay out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drill holes with power drill.
To uphold accurate food safety and quality standards by following established procedures, ensuring proper hygiene and promptly address potential risks.
Promoting a strong Food Safety and Quality Culture by maintaining a keen eye for detail.
Promptly report issues identified that could result in an unsafe or out of specification product.
Actively participate in training programs to stay updated with Food Safety and Quality standards.
Communicate on a regular basis with management and team members to maintain a shared commitment to Food Safety and Quality Culture
Participate in the system and engage in record completion and report any documentation that do not work.
Maintain a positive attitude and participate in audits.
Minimum requirements
Matric (Math & Science)
Trade Test, Diploma (NQF 6 )
Competence on PLCs (S7)
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, speed drives, fillers, and labelers
