Mine Planner at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Mine Planner to join their mining company based in the Free State. You will be responsible for developing mine designs and production schedules to support safe, efficient and cost-effective mining operations while ensuring compliance with operational and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mine designs, layouts and production schedules to support operational requirements.
• Collect, validate and analyse geological, survey and operational data for mine planning purposes.
• Prepare short-, medium- and long-term mine plans and production schedules.
• Update mine designs and schedules in line with production targets, operational changes and planning requirements.
• Prepare production profiles, planning reports, budgets and life-of-mine planning inputs.
• Conduct planning studies, scenario analysis and risk assessments to support operational decision-making.
• Utilise mine planning software to develop, maintain and optimise mine designs and scheduling data.
• Collaborate with geology, survey, engineering and operational teams to ensure accurate planning information.
• Identify opportunities to improve mining efficiencies, productivity and cost performance.
• Ensure compliance with mine planning standards, statutory requirements and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Mining-related qualification (e.g. Mining Engineering, Mine Survey, Mine Planning or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years' experience as Mine Planner within an underground mining environment
• Experience using Surpac for mine design and scheduling
• Experience analysing geological and planning data
• Knowledge of mine design and scheduling principles
• Valid Driver's License
