Mining Engineering Learner (Centurion) at Afrimat

Minimum Qualification / Requirements:

• Studying towards a Mining Engineering qualification.
• Willing to learn and be trained
• Administrative skills and Microsoft knowledge.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative.
• The candidate must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Soild knowledge to read and interpret mining plans.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Learning operational processes.
• Assist with improving mining efficiency and identifying areas for improvement.
• Conduct safety inspections in the pit and around the site.
• Assist during blasting preparations.
• Analyse blast outcomes with blaster.
• Assist with short-term planning.
• Assist in daily shift documentation and reporting.
• Complete the vacation work program
