• Studying towards a Mining Engineering qualification.

• Soild knowledge to read and interpret mining plans.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Learning operational processes.
• Assist with improving mining efficiency and identifying areas for improvement.
• Conduct safety inspections in the pit and around the site.
• Assist during blasting preparations.
• Analyse blast outcomes with blaster.
• Assist with short-term planning.
• Assist in daily shift documentation and reporting.
• Complete the vacation work program

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Execute the rollout of maintenance management processes supported by On Key across business units, under the guidance of the project owner
• Responsible for configuration and set up of software to support business processes
• Responsible for on-site training and post-implementation support as part of roll-out to new BU’s
• Apply a solid understanding of preventative maintenance principles to ensure system design supports reliability goals
• Ensure maintenance process implemented adds operational benefit by improving equipment availability and reducing maintenance costs

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Act as a mentor and coach to maintenance planners across the organisation, providing guidance on planning principles, system usage (e.g. On Key), and continuous improvement.
• Identify skills gaps and lead structured upskilling initiatives to build planning capability across business units
• Drive the standardization of planning processes, documentation, and workflows to ensure consistency and alignment with Afrimat’s maintenance strategy
• Develop and maintain standardised planning reports and dashboards to support performance monitoring, decision-making, and compliance with planning KPIs
• Champion the adoption of preventative maintenance and reliability-focused planning practices to improve equipment availability and reduce maintenance costs
• Work closely with the Implementation Engineer and other stakeholders to ensure planning processes are effectively supported by On Key and aligned with system capabilities

• Perform machine inspections on earthmoving equipment, delivery truck fleet and compile backlog lists.
• Strictly adhere to applicable quality assurance processes & procedures.
• Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice- related initiatives.
• To work overtime when required
