Mining Management Accountant at Network Recruitment

THE ROLE

A reputable concern in the mining industry is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. This role will report directly to the CFO and requires someone with experience in the mining industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete accounting process for the operation, preparing the budgets as well as the monthly and annual financial reports. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the life of mines, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and reviewing monthly creditors and bank reconciliations.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• CA (SA) OR CIMA

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 5 years’ post article experience
• Experience in the mining industry is preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be advantageous
• Ability to set up cost and data analysis templates as well as capital budgeting templates using excel
• Good working knowledge of bookkeeping, standard costs, and accounting packages
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
