    MW Digital Content Creator (Cape Town CBD)

    Description

    This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and creative content creator to take responsibility for the content marketing output of our clients, working alongside the Digital Content Producer.

    You must be well organized and have excellent creative and communication skills, be flexible, be self-motivated, multi-task, and most importantly, be adaptable. A positive and enthusiastic problem-solving attitude will get you far.

    The ability to drive strategic thinking and creativity to deliver top of the range visual content essential for this role.This role calls for a talented all-rounder with initiative & drive to keep ahead of the digital content space. Ideally, you will be excited about technology, enjoy playing with tools and see challenges as opportunities.

    Role: We are seeking a talented Mid-Weight Content Creator to join our creative team.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content production, from conceptualization to shooting and editing. They will be responsible for creating visually compelling content that meets client briefs and aligns with the latest social media trends. 

    Duties:

    • Collaborate with clients and the creative team to develop and interpret production briefs.
    • Plan and execute video and photo shoots using DSLR cameras and professional lighting.
    • Manage the editing process to create polished, engaging content for various digital platforms.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and integrate these insights into content creation.
    • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and content quality is maintained.
    • Provide creative input and contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop innovative content ideas.
    • Ensure all content aligns with clients' brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
    • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., marketing, design) to ensure cohesive project execution.
    • Troubleshoot production and post-production issues as they arise.

    Requirements

    • Relevant years of experience in content production, preferably within the retail or FMCG sectors.
    • Proficiency in using DSLR cameras and professional lighting equipment.
    • Strong skills in video editing software - Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, After effects (advantageous) and photoshop (basic)
    • Excellent understanding of social media platforms and content trends.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong creative vision and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Minimum education:

    •  Relevant degree and/or qualifications (against this job spec)In summary, we are looking for someone with creative flair.
