National Fleet Manager at OneCart

Job Description

• Onecart has an exciting opportunity available. We are looking to hire a seasoned Fleet Manager who will be assisting with the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet, maintaining detailed records of vehicle/Bike inspection, and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance checks to ensure operational efficiency, among other duties.

Duties and responsibilities :

• Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
• Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
• Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
• Developing strategies for greater delivery efficiency & productivity.
• Maintaining detailed records of drivers, vehicles, and inspections to drive equipment compliance.
• Complying with South African Department of Transport laws and regulations.
• Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
• Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
• Managing fleet service providers to deliver on business objectives.
• Compiling and presenting field reports to business executive committees on a periodical basis.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Take ownership of driving your career development (skills and knowledge)
• Plan and priorities, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands to achieve agreed deliverables
• Communicate effectively, maintain relationships
• Follow any lawful and reasonable instruction from your line manager

• Timely reporting of all instances of suspected or proven fraud via the appropriate reporting channel.

Qualification and Experience :

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or similar.
• 5+ years in a logistics or supply chain role.
