    Network & Security Manager

    Job Responsibilities:

    The primary responsibility of the Network & Security Manager is to manage the operation and maintenance of global network and security infrastructure and contribute to the overall strategy for deployment and ensuring fit for purpose.
    They provide, operate and maintain technology within NTT (Ltd) and are involved in strategic and tactical planning.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Assists in the development of and co-ordinates the execution of the IT strategy ensuring alignment to the overall business strategy.
    • Ensure that network equipment, hardware and software, services meet the business requirement.
    • Influence the strategic technology planning of the organisation ensuring that strategic and high impact technologies are utilised to ensure its competitive positioning.
    • Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for a team; provides guidance to and/or assists staff on non-routine or escalated issues
    • Maintains the availability and integrity of all network and security infrastructure systems throughout the global enterprise; uses independent judgement in managing day-to-day operations
    • Develops technical requirements for assigned projects; determines hardware and/or software necessary to accomplish projects; evaluates resources; makes hardware and/or software recommendations.
    • Develop annual technology goals and detailed plans for goal accomplishment.
    • Manage and maintain applications and systems and the acquisition, installation and maintenance of the local area network hardware and/or software.
    • Assists with the development and maintenance of technology policies, standards and procedures manual and the related technology checklists and provide written technology policy guidance.
    • Participates in the evaluation, screening, and selection of new hires; provide or coordinate staff training; will work with employees to correct deficiencies
    • Assist with the development and management of a technology budget and monitors and approves related expenditure for their area of responsibility.

    • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
    • Project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
    • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
    • Comprehensive understanding of network and security architecture

    Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Routing and Switching

    Required Experience:

    • Preferred senior level technical experience with lead or management experience of 3-5 years
    • Some experience working as part of an Agile team, using Agile principles and methods
    • Advanced network and security engineering project experience. 
    • Desirable experience will include the following: voice networks; data networks; security engineering; load balancing.
    • Experience managing global 24x365 environments
    • Acts as advisor to meet schedules or when technical issues need to be resolved
    • Responsible for schedules and performance requirements
    • May have budget responsibilities
