The Requirements
At least an LLM degree in criminal/civil procedure, preceded by an LLB degree from a South African University, with a commitment to register for and pursue a PhD in criminal/civil procedure within six months from the date of appointment.
Candidates are expected to complete their PhD within the first four years of the nGAP in line with the programme's requirements. Tutoring or facilitation experience and commitment to a career in academia are required.
Ability to teach and research in civil/criminal procedure
Track record of administration, management, and/or leadership roles (leadership roles may be informal)
As per nGAP requirements, a minimum average of 70% pass mark is required for the Master’s degree.
