Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in Geographic Information Systems or Geography and/or Information Systems with geospatial major
A minimum of 8 years post graduate experience with advanced ESRI ArcGIS
Enterprise GIS experience and exposure to its application in the electrical utility environment
Supervisory experience
Sound project implementation skills, particularly in GIS projects
Experience in Python, ArcGIS Arcade, SQL, Excel, Access
Experience in spatial and relational database design, systems analysis and design
Driver’s licence (Code EB)

The Energy Directorate seeks an experienced professional with a strong foundation in database design, foundational elements, validation and analysis in the specific GIS platform in order to achieve the required analytical capability
Coordinator: GIS Analytics, Reporting and Support
Geospatial Master Data Management such as Aerial Photography, Base Maps and Elevation Models, Utility Network model design and maintenance, Data Security and Access Control
Manage the ongoing examination, assessment and verification of data quality and integrity in data hosting structures
Manage complex data analysis for the production of thematic maps and reports in support of evidence-based decision-making in EGD business processes
Conduct research into data requirements when applying geospatial technology
Establish, manage and provide technical support to EGD personnel in the effective use of geospatial technology in business processes
