Nursing Consultant - Innovation Vaccines Cape Town 15 Months Contract
Educational Support: Provide comprehensive information and educational materials about vaccines, including their safety, efficacy, and guidelines for administration to healthcare professionals.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, including general practitioners, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists, to understand their needs and concerns regarding vaccines.
Vaccine advocacy activities: Advocate for the importance of vaccines by discussing their benefits in a consultative manner, while adhering to company policies and national paediatric and adult vaccination guidelines. This includes support on activities aimed at increasing vaccine uptake in adults.
Assist GP’s and Pharmacies
Training and Resources: Organize and conduct training sessions or webinars to healthcare providers about the latest vaccine information and updates. Have small group sessions with nurse practitioners. Attend and seek opportunities to train nurses at conferences.
Field Support: Travel to healthcare facilities and events as necessary to engage with healthcare professionals and provide in-person or virtual consultation regarding vaccines.
Feedback Collection: Collect feedback and insights from healthcare professionals regarding vaccine perceptions, barriers to administration, and potential improvements.
Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines.

Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum 2-5 years’ experience with a current and active Nursing Counsil license
Must have a valid driving license and own their own vehicle
Experience in clinical nursing, primary healthcare, preferably in immunology, infectious diseases, or public health.
Strong understanding of vaccines, immunization schedules, and related healthcare protocols.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage healthcare professionals effectively.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations, vaccination guidelines and pharmaceutical industry standards.
Willingness to travel for field assignments, when necessary.
