O&M Site Manager – Renewable Energy

    Is this you?

    • You love working towards a greener future. You are a team player, and you are proactive and excellent at communication as you understand that it’s this communication that ensures that project sites that you run, operate efficiently. You love nothing more than doing a good job and excelling at what you do.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

    • You will form an integral part of the site management team, providing support to the asset management division across all projects assigned to you. Together with the manager you will be in charge of the technical and site-specific aspects of each project. A few of these duties will include, but are not limited to, regular site inspections, monitoring maintenance / construction works ensuring compliance, plant standards are met, managing subcontractors and liaison with landowners and local authorities. BUT that’s not all, depending on your performance there is room for this role to progress from this into a management position with sign-off authority.

    Where you’ll be doing it

    • You will be based in a beautiful office in Port Elizabeth, joining an international renewable energy organisation that take pride in their contribution to a greener future. They develop, finance, build, own and operate renewable energy facilities across South Africa.

    What you’ll need

    • An engineering tertiary qualification at degree level, this is non-negotiable as it will aid in the technical aspects of this role. No less than 5 years’ experience working within the renewable energy sector performing similar responsibilities. A driver’s license will aid you in the travel you may need to do within the Eastern Cape. In addition you will need a can-do attitude and the capacity to learn and develop.

    What’s in it for you

    • A permanent opportunity with an expert in renewable energy technologies whether it be wind, solar, battery storage… if they don’t have a plan for it, they make a plan. A competitive market related salary and a team that is small and that takes cohesion seriously.
