    Officer Fire Operations

    Job Specific Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years in industrial / Municipal Fire Services in a supervisory capacity.
    • Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry will be beneficial

    Qualifications & Expertise

    • Matric
    • Higher Certificate in Fire Engineering
    • Intermediate Life Support Paramedic
    • SAMTRAC
    • Fire Prevention and Safety Strategies
    • Fire Investigation
    • Incident Commander
    • Snake identification/bite treatment and snake handling
    • Advance Industrial Fire Fighting
    • High angle rescue

    Competencies

    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and without supervision – accurately and timeously.
    • Ability to train and coach
    • Ability to conduct audits

    Functional Outputs

    • Provides Rescue and Fire Protection Service.
    • Provides Emergency Medical Services.
    • Ensure efficient maintenance of fire equipment.
    • Instruct plant fire teams during emergencies to restore operations to normal with minimal delay
