Officer Fire Operations

- Experience 3 - 4 years
- Location KwaZulu-Natal
- Job Field Environment Health and Safety
Job Specific Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in industrial / Municipal Fire Services in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry will be beneficial
Qualifications & Expertise
- Matric
- Higher Certificate in Fire Engineering
- Intermediate Life Support Paramedic
- SAMTRAC
- Fire Prevention and Safety Strategies
- Fire Investigation
- Incident Commander
- Snake identification/bite treatment and snake handling
- Advance Industrial Fire Fighting
- High angle rescue
Competencies
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and without supervision – accurately and timeously.
- Ability to train and coach
- Ability to conduct audits
Functional Outputs
- Provides Rescue and Fire Protection Service.
- Provides Emergency Medical Services.
- Ensure efficient maintenance of fire equipment.
- Instruct plant fire teams during emergencies to restore operations to normal with minimal delay
