    Omni Planner – Foschini Cosmetics

    The opportunity:

    The primary function of this role is ecommerce performance analysis and optimisation. Aligned with this, is the fulfilment strategy - co-ordination and optimisation thereof. The responsibility will extend through all systems, from ODBMS, to the One Stock & Omni reporting suite as well as PMM/Tableau. The incumbent would also ensure that stock is productive, and projections aligned with turnover. A liaison between Merchandise and Ecommerce teams. Empowered and encouraged to work independently, therefore accepting of the responsibility and accountability that goes with it. The team operates with high energy and commitment – solution-driven. Working together, and across teams, is critical to the success of the ecommerce business.


    • Ecommerce projections, performance analysis and reporting – across merchandise, digital marketing and ecommerce site KPIS.
    • Management and optimisation of order fulfilment strategy.
    • Successful proposal, coordination, and analysis of promotional activity online.
    • Streamlining of reports across disciplines – merch, digital marketing and site.
    • Optimisation of stock to sales.
    • KPI’s include:
      • Turnover
      • Conversion
      • Number of Orders
      • Average Order Value
      • Fulfilment %
      • Expiry/ Cancellation %
      • Bounce Rate
      • Traffic/User Numbers
      • Active Customers


    • Business degree or related diploma
    • Some knowledge and experience of e-Commerce
    • Merchandise Planning experience – good practice and knowledge of planning systems, principles & methodology
    • Excel proficient
    • Merchandise Planning systems exposure – Pyramid, Tableau, etc
    • CMS - Product database management exposure

    • Strong potential for business acumen and merchant thinking
    • Good communication and influencing skills
    • Comfortable with the use of and ability to learn new digital technologies and reporting systems
    • Ability to understand web analytics, tracking and reporting
    • Desire to develop a career in omni-channel retail or ecommerce
    • High level of computer literacy/competency and merchandise planning work experience
    • High level of energy and drive
    • Displays an organized and systematic way of working
    • Works under pressure – deadline driven – with efficient time-management skills

    Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
