    Operation Manager (Data Center)

    Job Summary

    • The main target of the Operation Manager with a focus on Key Account Management Data Center is the development and supervision of strategic large customers within the PowerGen application. Based on a global supervision strategy it is the duty of a Operation Manager, to process and supervise major projects in the field over its contract period. Furthermore, to develop and expand long-term strategic partnerships and drive innovation within the partnerships.

    Tasks And Responsibilities

    • Takes over project management for the global service support of major Data Center customers: Is responsible for quality, meeting deadlines, costing as well as for monitoring and possibly adjusting project costs.
    • Identification and implementation of innovative service concepts for the strategic relationships of major customers.
    • Leads and coordinates several project teams of different and parallel running construction sites.
    • Is technical point of contact for all service-related field issues and coordinates with the quality department.
    • Close cooperation with end customers, construction site management, project management, sales, logistics, purchasing and production.
    • Secures access to decision-makers on the customer side to enable agile, solution-oriented and timely decision-making
    • Independent implementation and communication of customer requirements as well as support of maintenance contracts and ensuring uptime.
    • Processing of tender documents and preparation of offers and calculations.
    • Continuous development and improvement of processes and collaboration models to support customers with products portfolio according to Rolls-Royce Power Systems standards.

    Mandatory Qualifications

    • Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, power engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification with at least 5 years professional experience
    • Extensive experience in project management of customer projects, project management experience
    • Excellent written and spoken English skills (fluent) mandatory
    • Communication on different management levels
    • Strategic thinking and approach, also the ability to understand the big picture
    • Good technical knowledge
    • Intercultural communication skills
    • Self-confidence and leadership skills
