Job Description

• The ideal team player will manage all operational aspects of the animal feed plant to ensure production and delivery targets are met and that the finished product meet the required quality standards as set by the company.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• BSc. Agricultural Science or Engineering Qualification would be advantageous
• A minimum of 5 year experience in a similar role
• Experience in a Animal Feed Plant would be preferred
• Experience in production and scheduling
• Practical experience in a feed plant and knowledge of the equipment in the production process
• Knowledge of quality controls and processes within a feed pant
• Financial acumen
• Relevant technical and R&M knowledge

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive the profitability of production through the control and management of production costs against budget
• Meet production targets
• Ensure that the final product meet the required quality standards
• Manage stock effectively and efficiently
• Ensure continuous improvement is systems and process and the monitoring thereof
• Ensure the safety of production staff and that safety and/or statutory requirements are adhered to at all times
• Mentor, coach and train production staff
• Repairs and Maintenance of production assets
