Operations Coordinator at Uber

About the Role

This role is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on the success of Uber Eats in South Africa. The Merchant Operations Coordinator will support the South African business and Merchant team by onboarding new restaurants to ensure they are set up for success and working in collaboration with Operations Managers to implement projects that impact merchant onboarding with a structured, data-driven approach.

This role calls for a combination of communication and stakeholder management skills, data and critical thinking, and the ability to work with teams from across the business. Further, as Uber Eats is a new business and remains a fast-paced environment, we are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who is able to switch between long-term thinking one moment and change directions into rapid, tactical actions the next.

What You'll Do:

• Merchant Onboarding: Lead the planning and execution of restaurant onboarding until the first order is completed

• Develop & Optimise Onboarding Processes: You will develop new processes and/or continuously improve existing processes to allow the business to efficiently operate and grow

• Develop Dashboards & Tools: Build and run reports and dashboards to produce data-driven insights for restaurant onboarding

• Run Cross Functional Projects: Own tactical restaurant operations projects from planning to execution and collaborate with multiple stakeholders as needed

• Hustle: Proactively work to remove obstacles and enable forward momentum and progress. Handle critical issues and provide support to teams balancing contending priorities

• Take ownership: of Uber Eats in your country and do everything you can to enhance the quality of our services

• Develop and Maintain Playbooks: Ensure rapid testing of new practices; document and share lessons to help shape the future of our product

What you'll need:

• Min 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree

• High proficiency with MS Excel, SQL is a strong added advantage

• Planning and organising skills to ensure timely, impactful and high quality deliverables

• Hustle - driven and focused self-starter

• Strong communication and organization skills
