    Operations Finance Analyst

     ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This Operations Finance role focuses on providing analytical support to the Operations Team to drive performance.

    The candidate is expected to provide analysis and decision support to the Operations team in understanding ways to drive the business forward. The individual will support the Operations team on their monthly performance review.

    The role will provide key support to the Manufacturing & Supply Chain team in the areas of monthly cost analysis of operational spend. The role is a key interface between the South Africa Market and Operations team. Providing reporting, analysis and insights on COGS is a key requirement.

    The candidate must possess strong communication and collaboration skills to proactively business partner the Operations team and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally. Advanced MS Excel and system tools skills required.

    Responsibilities

    MEASURES OF SUCCESS / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Month End Management
    • Monthly closure of Plant Account.
    • MIS and monitoring budget at Plant level
    • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Items Cost of Goods Sold and Distribution expenses.Periodic review of working capital, close monitoring of slow-moving stocks and ensure adequacy of Inventory provisions as per policy.
    • Performance measurement, reporting & Compliance
    • Support with budgeting, forecasting and accounting support, with the following specific responsibilities:
    • Raising Purchase orders to suppliers
    • Ensuring timely GRN (Receiver) to AP Creations.
    • Sales invoicing to customers as per approved pricing.
    • Prepare operational analysis and insights to assist in LE and Budget setting.
    • Work closely with market finance team to ensure budget / LE submissions as per agreed calendar.
    • Lead monthly performance review with the Regional Operations finance team.
    • Highlight inefficiencies in supply chain processes and work closely with supply chain team on cost saving / value engineering projects.
    • Continuous identification of opportunities to improve process
    • Assistance in Statutory and Other Audits.
    • Compliance of SOX controls & financial policies with respect to Capex, Opex, procurement, physical verification of stocks across all warehouses and other supply chain process controls.

    Operation Projects:

    • Participate and/or lead Operational projects
    • Define Cost of Goods for new innovation projects
    • Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure commercial/ accounting support for new projects, such as SAP readiness, master data setups and other activities as per project timelines.

    Primos:

    Play an active role in the Operation team by proactively sharing knowledge across the team and making a positive contribution.

    Skills and Experience

    • Educated to degree level, with strong results

    Language Skills:

    • Fluent English

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing Industry.
